Terms of Service

Agreement

By using hndl.app or any HNDL product, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

Services

HNDL Technology Inc. provides software tools for Canadian mortgage brokers. Our current live product is Complai, a compliance and onboarding platform. Additional products may be added over time.

Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information during registration.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use HNDL products only for lawful purposes related to your mortgage brokerage business. You will not:

• Use the service to store or transmit malicious code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
• Resell or redistribute the service without written permission
• Use the service in a way that violates applicable laws or regulations

Billing

Paid features are billed on a per-use or monthly basis as described in each product's pricing. You authorize us to charge your payment method for fees incurred. We will provide notice before any pricing changes take effect.

Data

You retain ownership of all data you submit through HNDL products. We process your data solely to provide the service. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle data.

Client Data

As a mortgage broker, you are the FINTRAC reporting entity for your clients. HNDL processes client data on your behalf. You are responsible for having appropriate consent from your clients before submitting their information through our tools.

Availability

We aim to keep our services available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability.

Limitation of Liability

HNDL provides tools to assist with your workflow. We are not a law firm, compliance consultancy, or financial advisor. You are responsible for ensuring your use of our tools meets your regulatory obligations. HNDL is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our services.

Termination

You may stop using HNDL at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your data will be retained for the minimum period required by law, then deleted.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
